🎉We are happy to announce that HYDRA coin will have its debut listing on the HitBTC exchange on January 5 🎉
⚡️ Hydra Liquidity Event
The debut-listing will be accompanied by a liquidity event (details can be found in this article).
As part of the event, a limited amount of 150,000 HYDRA will be available for sale. The starting price will be $0.70 and the price will grow by 3% for every 4,000 HYDRA being bought — first come first serve.
The maximum price will be $2.09, after which the order book will be depleted.
What can you do with HYDRA?
HYDRA is the native coin of Hydra chain, powering the blockchain and its transactional economy.
- HYDRA is needed for staking & block validation
- HYDRA is needed to pay for transaction fees
- Staking rewards are paid out in HYDRA
- On-chain governance works through HYDRA (needed for voting)

Why is there a Liquidity Event?
Hydra has the transactional economy at its core. Stakers need to be able to enter and leave the ecosystem any time they want. This requires a strong market-making inventory, so that sufficient liquidity is available on exchanges at all times.
If for example $100,000 worth of HYDRA are sold during the liquidity event, this will translate to a $200,000 combined market-making inventory.
