Today we are launching Hydra Twitter Events, a new and innovative way to mobilize the combined power of the community and spread the word about the ecosystem.
Simply talk about Hydra on Twitter and collect rewards for every tweet you make. Don’t forget to tag @hydra_chain in your tweets in order for our system to pick your tweet up!
The first contest goes LIVE!
The first contest goes live tomorrow and will last for a total of 5 days.
Starting time: December 15 → 00:00 UTC
Ending time: December 19 → 23:59 UTC
Prize Pool: 50 HYDRA (~$500)
The purpose of this contest is to introduce the system to the community, showcase all the features, identify potential bugs/issues and gather feedback from the community.
Note: The leaderboard will be inactive for the first 24 hours of the contest. This is because tweets are only rated 24 hours after posting. You should expect the first rated tweets to populate the leaderboard on December 16.
Focus on quality over quantity.
There is a limit of 15 tweets per day and account. Any tweets beyond that will be ignored and not rated. Please note that participants who spam tweets (for example via bots) or try to engage in multi-accounting will face the risk of being disqualified. The same is true for attempts of faking likes or other types of engagement. In addition to our automated fraud detection systems, we will also be conducting manual checks.
Even though you can post up to 15 tweets per day, your best performing tweets will yield you the majority of points. This is so because at the end of each day, your tweets for that day will be sorted by their score and the best performing one will yield 100% of its points for the leaderboard score. The second best performing will yield 90%. The third will yield 81% and so on. Down the ranking the points yield will shrink by a compound 10% for each rank.
Due to this mechanism, you should expect 70–80% of your daily leaderboard score to be comprised of your ~5 best performing tweets of that day. Hence you should view the 15 tweets per day as opportunities to create high-scoring tweets as opposed to creating a bigger amount of medium-scoring tweets.
