Pressing Forward — LockTrip’s UX Report Unveiled

The year 2023 has been a very exciting one for LockTrip. Marking the start of our official marketing campaigns, a lot has happened over the past twelve months. Promotional content is now live across various platforms including social media channels, reaching new customers around the clock.

Specialized retargeting campaigns focus on converting interested audiences while a growing set of email flows aim to engage our existing user base. All of these allowed us to reach new records on several key performance metrics.

This year we were strongly focused on turning marketing into a new vertical of our project by developing powerful in-house capabilities. Ranging from data collection to processing, a lot of work had to be done. The sheer number of integrations we had to facilitate, along with their supporting infrastructure, demanded priority attention from the entire team.

Our developers were at the core of this process, as marketing today is no longer just about social competence and empathy, but also about cutting-edge technology. Most of our developers had to prioritize these tasks, so that the new vertical could be built within less than one year.

While there will continue to be ongoing marketing-related tasks, we are happy to share that most of the bulk work is now complete. This means that valuable resources are slowly getting freed up for more visible and customer-oriented tasks.

Our latest announcements reflect this trend. Although the first one is still marketing-related, it is one of the first visible features that were introduced since the “silent period”:

New Features and UX Improvements

We have a lot of exciting new features planned for the marketplace, which will be announced in the coming weeks and months.

In the meantime we are happy to reveal a detailed user experience report that was specially prepared for the LockTrip marketplace. The report is provided by an independent third party that had no prior exposure to our marketplace.

We plan to implement most of the recommendations over the coming months, after filtering out potentially unsuitable ones (e.g. due to technical limitations or other considerations). These will of course be supplemented by our internal list of planned improvements.

Some of the smaller items are aleady implemented and about to be shipped to the production version of the marketplace!

The combined outcome should be a significantly polished user experience across the entire booking flow. We can’t wait to implement them, making our marketplace even more attractive than it is today!
