Results of the LOC Economy Survey
Last week, we launched a survey regarding the newly announced LOC Economy 2.0 proposal. We asked our community to rate the new model based on three key metrics and, additionally, to give it an overall score.
The survey questions were as follows:
- How satisfied are you with LOC Economy 2.0?
- How effective do you think will the new model be in solving volatility risks for LockTrip and Hosts?
- How effective do you think will the new model be in reducing slippage costs?
- How effective do you think will the new model be in creating long term LOC value?
Here are the results for each of the four questions above.
The average score across all four pillars is 8.44, which is a very strong result considering that radical changes tend to trigger protective attitudes.
Surprisingly, the only “weak” category turned out to be “creating long term value”, which happens to be the one we are most confident about. We thus expect a growing support post-implementation, when everyone can verify the effectiveness.
Something important to note is the score gap between those who read the explanatory document and those who didn’t. This again confirms how spending more time and thoughts on the topic correlates with a stronger support for the idea.
In addition to the scores themselves, we also received valuable feedback that made us more aware of your areas of concern and excitement. All of this made us extremely confident that proceeding with the implementation is the right thing to do.
Implementation
We are currently targeting to complete our mini-roadmap towards the production version of the marketplace by the end of October. This not only includes the upgraded economy, but also the deployment of the new UI, together with enabling support for ETH and BTC payments.
