We listened to you — Wallet Creation will be separate from Registration
Dear Community!
As you know, registering on our marketplace includes a mandatory step to create a built-in wallet. We included this step to make it easier for our early adopters to setup their account and be ready for their first booking.
Now, as we are slowly targeting a broader audience and are about to launch fiat payments, payment directly via LOC tokens will not be the most common way for our customers anymore.
This means, that wallet creation will become an unnecessary barrier for many, who are not used to the blockchain technology and want to pay with credit cards only.
As a result of the above reasoning, and a strong feedback from our community pointing to the same direction, we decided to separate the wallet creation feature from the registration process.
In short: Registering on our marketplace will be simplified significantly. The outcome should be less confusion, higher conversion rates and thus a positive impact on the LOC token economy, as every booking (regardless of how they were paid for) will be executed through LOC tokens.
Wallet creation will be available as an additional feature inside each registered account and can be activated at any preferred time.
Fiat Payment
We are proud to announce, that the technical integration of the fiat payment feature has been completed and all tests were passed successfully!
But…
We know, that many of our community members are eagerly waiting to promote LockTrip to their friends and family immediately after the fiat payment feature launches.
In order to not create any temporary confusion for those new potential customers, and to guarantee a smooth first experience, we want to launch both the separated version of the wallet creation and the fiat payment feature at the same time.
As a result, we have now shifted our priority to this separation task and expect to complete it by the end of the week.
