Watch out TV — The Voice of Avakin is coming for you…
Just when we thought that our Voice of Avakin partnership couldn’t get any better — something even more creative comes along and blows us away again! We’re thrilled to be able to share the official Voice of Avakin TV advert with you all!
On the surface, creating a TV ad is not that different from the many thousands of hours of video content we’ve put together in the past. But this is Avakin’s first-ever TV advert. So we had to pull out the stops.
Our challenge was to usher in a brand new audience into our world. And more importantly, show them what it is that makes our metaverse so special — doing so without compromising our unique nature and authenticity. It’s a challenge that we’re thrilled we had the opportunity to take on and we’re sure you’ll agree — the end product is pretty special.
Here’s what our wonderfully talented Motion Graphics and Video Artist, Louis Arrigoni had to say about the creative process:
“Creating a TV ad with ITV was such a fun opportunity, and a very different challenge compared to the more ‘targeted’ content we usually make in games. We needed to show off this crazy, virtual, global singing event, at the same time as introducing the metaverse to the general public (a completely alien concept to many people).
I hope the trailer conveys how excited and positive we all feel to be sharing and enjoying this event with everyone, and that it provides a tiny glimpse into the limitless possibilities available in our virtual world.”
Without the brilliantly creative minds we have on our Lockwood team, our vision just wouldn’t be brought to life in the same way. It was also important for us to remember that time is of the essence in TV ad land. In our world, we can rely on being able to build out our story for minutes and in even hours at a time. We know our users almost always want to escape to our metaverse from prolonged periods. And it’s one of our favourite things about the digital world.
But as our Mobile Marketing Manager, Vanessa Vieira Dias, explains below — we only have a matter of seconds to get our message across in a TV ad — so every single one was precious.
“It was a fun and inspiring project for the whole team! It’s super interesting to now look back and see how the TV ad evolved and turned into the result we always aimed for — from first ideations and storyboards to the final cut. Producing something like this was 100% about combining the best from each team member — across multiple teams and with help from Opera Events — and showcasing the true talent we have here at LKWD.
Introducing The Voice of Avakin and Avakin Life in just under 30 seconds was a challenging but rewarding task — after all, how many ‘unlimited ways to be you’ fit in a TV ad length? We hope all of them!”
