The LODE Community Begins Roll-Out of Wallet Solutions

In this week’s video installment, LODE host Nicholas Prouten catches up with Atomic 47’s Dave Olsson.

“There are over seven different wallets that we’re going to be reviewing today,” Prouten said to kick off this highly informative interview segment.

The pair began with a thorough walk-through of the first wallet — the cloud wallet solution — which launched April 30.

“[Community members] on April 30 will be invited to come to the members portal and they’ll go through what I call, ‘workflow,’ where they accept the Terms of Service and then go about generating the wallet, it should be about three clicks and then they’ll have their AGX show up,” Olsson explained.

Prouten chimed in remarking, “That sounds super simple and straightforward…it’s just one of

seven different solutions that we want to offer people.”

Moving on to solution number two –the pair went on to talk about the “Electrum Wallet.”

“On June 2, members will be offered the opportunity to download the electrum wallet and then store their tokens on their desktop so that it’s not within the cloud. [I]t will work in terms of keeping your tokens and coins off of the internet,” Olsson said.

To which Prouten responded with a clear-cut, “Wow.” So you’ll actually be able to take them off of the initial LODE website and store them on your desktop.”

Next up on the agenda, Prouten asked Olsson to comment on the “Custody Wallets.”

“We’ve been working on a custody solution; we recognize that some people will want their tokens to be in a cold-storage, managed environment and possibly even insured, so the electrum technology again provides us that leg into having a custody solution, and this will roll out in the early parts of the summer.”

Also on the agenda, Prouten brought up the “paper wallet,” which will be launched on June 2.

This option provides an immediate cold storage solution for individuals looking to store their tokens offline and in a very easy-to-use fashion.

“Paper is relatively delicate, so you may want to consider getting that laminated or storing it in a safe dry place where it won’t be prone to damage,” Prouten offered as a suggestion.

To wrap it all up, the duo revealed that the LODE community is working with Blockchain Foundry and their technology partner to provide a hardware solution to the local community. “It is down the road for us,” Olsson said.
