Although cryptocurrencies provide an exciting opportunity for investors, they remain too volatile for many.

That is why emerging cryptos, like stable and asset-backed coins, are becoming increasingly popular, this according to one crypto investor and author.

“While I actually do believe in bitcoin, it would not be able to exist if people don’t understand it and people don’t use it. And bitcoin’s volatility also prevents people from using it,” Kiana Danial, author of Cryptocurrency Investing for Dummies and founder of Invest Diva, told LODE TV earlier this week.

“That’s why I think stable coins and coins that are attempting to be backed by something that is tangible to people, will help shift them from credit cards to crypto. I think it is essential.”

Danial said she thinks most people are looking for investments they can relate to.

“Bitcoin and a lot of other cryptocurrencies are unfortunately not as relatable unless you really dive in and learn about it,” she explained.

“So, I think it’s the perfect bridge to have some sort of a stable coin or something that is backed by something that is tangible for the majority of the planet to get started in it and start using it.”

An engineering graduate turned investor, Danial shared her journey into cryptocurrencies and why she thinks digital assets are the way of the future.

“It wasn’t until 2016, that is when I started educating myself and that’s when I was blown away by the possibilities about how this industry can really help rejuvenate the financial system that is really not working anymore,” she said.

“We are moving towards a peer-to-peer decentralized system in this world…and there’s no denying people are fed up with centralized monopolies having all the power. That’s what really excites me about cryptocurrencies, not having that middleman and having money accessible to everybody around the world.”

Why should investors consider cryptos?

According to Danial, the most important aspect of cryptocurrencies is that they provide an avenue to financial freedom.

“I love cryptos, but the end goal is to help people become financially free, which I think crypto plays a role in that.”
