A Day To Remember
A day of magic and disbelief
I wake early, excitement flowing through the air, sprinkled within the bright sunbeams,
I feel I’ve been waiting patiently for this very day, or so it seems,
Why? I hear you ask,
Well let me give you the lowdown, metaphorically speaking, I’ll quickly unmask,
Today, oh what a glorious day it’ll be,
Because today is the annual Space Market — although sadly it’s no longer free.
Let me tell you; there’ll be ‘come one, come all’,
As the guests venture far and wide — galaxy upon galaxy — they’ll all heed the call,
And what can you purchase? You query curiously and genuinely in awe,
Well, let’s see. There’ll be anything you can think of, within the letter of the law,
Food and drink you’ve never conceived existed; advanced technological miracles and terminal sickness cures,
Almost anything you can imagine, from self-grown vegetables to Valentine lures.
I dress in a hurry and forgo breaking my fast for this day,
In too much of a hurry to be on my way,
I’m expecting a surprise; one whereby…
