Valko stared off into the sunset. The forest was coming alive, it was almost time to hunt.
He heard every little creature scurrying around for safety or food.
Valko’s eyes shifted to the side; his mother, who was white as snow, and his father, black as the night, waited for his call. He was neither of these colors. He was mid-point on the grayscale with hints of both their shades.
Valko was now the pack leader. He ruled this part of the forest. He tilted his head back and let out a long howl, signaling the hunt to begin.
