Today’s random word is Jumpy
A drabble is a 100-word, complete fiction story
Nick decided to surprise his wife today. He had a break between his two jobs and didn’t get to see his wife much.
The skies were growing gray with storms when Nick pulled into the driveway and ran into the house.
“Nadine.”
Nadine slinked out of their bedroom. “Hon…honey, you’re home early.”
Nick noticed she looked jumpy. “I came back for lunch. Why, what’s wrong?”
Nadine motioned outside. “Oh, you know, the storm is coming in.” She pulled him away from the window so he wouldn’t see the young man running from their house in his boxers across the street.
