Update: Sorry for the infrequent posting and activity; I have a lot on at the moment, and Jess is experiencing Autistic Burnout, which is causing us a lot of stress as I/we try to keep up with our life. I will schedule Drabble Drops for next week and do it by scheduling.

“What’s wrong?” Sam asked, watching Jamie cry.

“Burnout,” Jamie whispered, tears streaming. “Can’t do anything.”

Sam sat, pondering. “Ever tried laughing at nothing?” he asked.

Jamie blinked. “You’re mad.”

“Probably,” Sam grinned.

“But try it.” Jamie hesitated, then chuckled weakly.

“Feels silly,” she said.

“Exactly,” Sam nodded. “Sometimes silly helps.”

Jamie’s laughter grew, breaking through the gloom. “This is absurd,” she gasped.

“Isn’t it?” Sam joined in.
