Drabble Drop FAQ’s (guidelines) here.

A Drabble is a 100-word short story. Drabble Drops uses a randomly generated word as the challenge but not as a title or character name.

Jess is recovering from a chest infection and isn't ready for posting. If you are wondering why I am doing Drabble drop, it might be me for a few days or until she feels up for it.

Sarah’s fingers trembled, smearing white frosting on her cheek. “I could murder for a cupcake,” she murmured, eyeing the last one.

Tom laughed, but his eyes held a warning. “Careful, someone might take you seriously.”

She grinned, biting into the cupcake, savouring each sweet, dangerous bite. “You always worry too much,” she teased, licking her fingers.

Later, the party buzzed, laughter masking the tension. Tom’s eyes followed her. He knew her secret, buried under layers of charm.

Suddenly, a scream pierced the night. Sarah’s smile faded, cupcake crumbs on her lips. In the chaos, Tom whispered, “I did warned you.”
