A Drabble is a 100-word short story. Drabble Drops uses a randomly generated word as the challenge but not as a title or character name.
Mina winced, her skin aflame. “Sun’s out,” she muttered. Viktor handed her the salve.
“Try this.” She hesitated but applied it, marvelling at the instant relief.
“Where did you get this?” she asked. Viktor grinned, “Old family recipe.” The tension eased, and they laughed.
Later, under the starlit sky, she whispered, “This could change everything.” Viktor nodded, hope glinting in his eyes.
They stood close, the night filled with unspoken promises. The future seemed brighter, even in darkness.
“To new beginnings, my dear,” Mina toasts. Viktor raises his flask, smiling. The journey is uncertain, but together, they dare to dream.
