Note: I’ll be away Monday and Tuesday so the words will be scheduled to post on those days. It means I can’t link anyone’s stories in on those two days but I will read as many as I can! 💖💖💖

“Just ask her out. There’s no harm in trying”, Cyrus’s best friend, Dixon, nudged him.

Cyrus stared across the hallway at Keira, the smart, pretty girl in his class who had him enamoured.

“What if she rejects me?!” he fretted.

Dixon scoffed. “Unlikely but if she does, I’ll buy you a milkshake”.

Dixon pushed him forward, surprising him.

Cyrus yelped, stumbling and catching Keira’s attention.

“Cyrus, are you okay?”

Cyrus ignored the rising heat in his cheeks and before his bravery disappeared, asked if she wanted to grab a milkshake later.

Keira’s responding beam made the mortification all worth it.
