Chelsea’s heart pounded as she waited in the airport for her best friend, Tom.
She had recently realised her heart had always belonged to him but was too scared to admit it to herself.
Now she stood waiting with a handwritten sign declaring her true feelings, laying all her cards on the table and hoping for the best.
Chelsea recognised Tom’s sheepskin jacket as soon as he appeared in the traffic of people.
His smile grew wide as he saw her.
Her pulse raced and her stomach knotted.
Tom’s eyes took in her sign.
His lips stretched into a grin.
