“For god’s sake, Faith, I was only offering to help tutor him”, Lila scoffed, rolling her eyes. “Don’t be so insecure”.
Faith stared Lila down like a showdown from an old western. The townspeople — their peers, more like — stood around gawking and filming the scene with their phones.
“Oh is that what they’re calling it now?” Faith retorted. “Then how do you explain this?” she held up a screenshot on her phone of Lila kissing Jake, Faith’s boyfriend, sent by a mutual friend.
“She just got her wig snatched”, a lanky blue-haired boy whistled as excited whispering broke out.
