DRABBLE DROP | FICTION | LODESTAR GAZETTE
Glimpses of Fairyland
Morning miracles
A Drabble is a 100-word short fictional story. You just gotta ramble with words and form a nice intriguing plot.
Word of the day: Rainbow
“Mom, do fairies exist in real life?” Little Violet asked innocently.
Meryl, who was making her sleep, chuckled.
“Why did you ask all of a sudden?” She questioned her.
Violet dreamed of a fairy descending as a rainbow arch formed behind her.
“Ah, she slept.” Meryl thought about her and then departed for bed.
The next morning, when Violet got up, she saw her dream come true.
“Mom, I saw a fairy just now outside my window.” She excitedly told.
Meryl looked at her daughter’s happiness and smiled, beaming.
“I didn’t see anyone, dear. Maybe she just came for you.”
The story is inspired by Jessica's Quill drabble drop challenge and its associated word, “rainbow.”
