“Honey, it’s not a good idea to go to the park, it’s too hot outside. Let’s go this evening when it cools down.”

But Andy wasn’t having it. In his five year old mind, it was the perfect time to go to the park and he persisted until Mum gave in.

The two of them walked the 100 metres and as soon as Andy spotted the big, silver metal slide, he took off at a run.

It didn’t matter that the metal was boiling, Andy climbed those stairs, happily sliding to the ground over and over again, giggling with glee.

Drabble Drop word of the day ‘slide’.

Wikipedia defines a drabble as follows :

A drabble is a short work of fiction of precisely one hundred words in length. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author’s ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in a confined space.
