The bracelet he held up for her to see shimmered in the candlelight. She sat mesmerized, watching the gleam from the copper.
Maxim lovingly touched her cheek with his finger, sensing her desire. He took her wrist and clasped the bracelet on her left hand.
“Now, you will receive spiritual healing from the One, and then you will be mine for eternity”, he said.
She looked up at him; his devilish grin made her blood race. He pulled her toward him, grasped her hair back with his hand, and slowly lowered his lips to her neck. She moaned in delight!
