Writing is a lot like cooking noodles

I know

That’s a weird sentence

But hear me out

How many times have you wanted to write, but didn’t know what to do?

So you think

And when you have an idea, you write

And it seems to be going well

But then…

You stop and can’t think of where to go from there

So you stop, and start over

And repeat

Until you have an idea that finally works.

…

I know, I know

That didn’t help

But it does make sense

When you cook noodles, you cook them in a pot of boiling water

When you think it’s ready, you throw a strand against a wall to see if it’ll stick

Sometimes they do, but fall shortly after

Sometimes they stick a little longer, but eventually fall like the others

But eventually, when it’s done, one will stick, and you’ll be able to eat you’re noodles

So yeah
