Yes, it has been a hot summer for logion: new official partnerships announcement, a revolutionary capability for NFT owners launch and a huge involvement in the ParisDotComm conference, not to mention our European Logion Legal Officer day workshop.

Paris Blockchain Summit (July, 8th)
With his Polkadot Head Ambassador cap on his head, David has been invited to the Paris Blockchain Summit conference and participated in a round table discussion with Christophe Oczan and Vijay Pravin about security, privacy and transaction fees of new blockchain protocols.
As you can see, promoting Polkadot is part of logion’s team mission.
The “Paris Blockchain Summit” is the oldest international event dedicated to Blockchain technology in France. At each edition, PBS brings together the international community in a unique and breathtaking setting conducive to connecting players wishing to promote the sector.
2BLOCK.IO and logion announced the first blockchain-based application to be published on the Xerox App Gallery
We are leading the way for safe digital ownership with 2BLOCK.IO by providing concrete benefits of blockchain tech to the real world.
As a company you can now secure documents directly from your Xerox printer with a legal-grade protection and a blockchain tamper-proof record under the watch of an identified Legal Officer.
logion and MyWork Platform worked together and announced in July the availability of 2block.io, the first blockchain-based application on the official worldwide Xerox App Gallery.
2block.io is a new platform created by document record management veterans which provides a blockchain-based service to secure documents over the long term by:
- Archiving scanned documents directly from XEROX printers
- Generating a hash of the document: a unique and tamper-proof fingerprint of the document
- Certifying the existence of the document in case of claim using a blockchain record with a tamper-proof time-stamp, under the responsibility of a Legal Officer
- Users will be able to request an official Statement of Facts from the Legal Officer in charge, certifying the existence of the data, the logion blockchain recorded.
Zero-knowledge-proof architecture: 2BLOCK.IO platform creators selected logion to automatically send — from a Xerox printer — and sign scanned document “hashes” directly to the logion infrastructure leveraging related public certificates and Legal Officer power for full transparency and traceability without revealing the content of all related documents.

ParisDotComm (July, 19th): a first — and successful — conference, a launchpad for logion
David and Benjamin did an amazing job with Elisabeth (HydraDX) to launch and deliver this amazing community driven event.
Targeting the wider crypto community, ParisDotComm — 3 days of conference and workshops sessions — has been organized by some of the leading projects of the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystems. This first edition was a great success. The organizers are already working on the next one, which will be held in the summer of 2023 in an improved format and still with the logion team at the forefront. Among great projects of the polkadot ecosystem, logion leveraged an amazing venue to speak about the following:
TAL selected logion to bring the most trustable stablecoin to the Polkadot Community and beyond.
Another proof of logion’s value for the web3 community: to be a system of evidence record for the benefit of stablecoin holders. logion partners with Tal to secure a new kind of stablecoin for the Polkadot ecosystem and beyond.
The sTAL will be pegged to the TAL, a basket composed of six currencies and gold escrowed in real safes in Switzerland. Each time requesters send their fiat money, that amount is converted into the corresponding TAL basket leading to a related number of TAL creation.
All milestones of the underlying sTAL generation process will independently be recorded a priori by logion at the sTAL generation time — acting as a system of evidence record — with a double check executed a posteriori by another independent auditor on a regular basis.
At the ParisDotComm conference, Alain Parize, TAL founder, announced the choice of logion to secure its new trustable stablecoin for the Polkadot community and beyond: the sTal can be trusted, because you can verify everything, anytime.

Unveiling a logion revolutionary capability for NFT owners

At ParisDotComm, Elie announced a game-changing capability for safe digital ownership: the restricted delivery of Ethereum-based NFT underlying assets to the sole NFT owner, the whole process guaranteed by the logion infrastructure.
One step further toward our mission: enabling people to protect the value they create and exchange in the web3 world.
Elie demoed it on stage using a Ledger hard wallet signature, adding another strong security layer to the MetaMask.

logion as a claim attestation platform, using Kilt Protocol as an example
Another proof of logion’s community mindset: our CTO, Gérard, demonstrated how logion can play the role of a claim attestation platform with KILT.
Well known project of the Polkadot ecosystem, Kilt provides a blockchain identity protocol for issuing self-sovereign, anonymous, verifiable credentials and decentralized identifiers.
Big thanks to our friend Tino from Kilt who supported and helped to build the workshop demo.
And, as it always happens in good workshops, new ideas came along !
Crossing borders in Paris for the logion fam’
Just before the Paris Dot Comm conference, we had the pleasure to spend time working all together on the future milestones of logion with the solid European Logion Legal Officers group committed — more than ever — to the success of the project.
One of the focus has been to shape the scope of the logion legal officer role: an independent, cross-border and trusted protector of the digital economy, already operating the logion blockchain infrastructure and protecting web3 users and business.
A kind of privilege to watch the building of this cross-border, cross-functional and a necessary foundation for a sustainable cyber-economy (and society) protected by law… by design.
NFT Biarritz (August, 24th)
Among major names of the Web3 Ecosytem, logion has been invited to participate to this conference, just before the now famous Surfin’ Bitcoin conference.
This event focuses on NFT ecosystem growth and discussed very interesting topics such as
“Web3 and the Decentralized Creator Economy”, shared “Examples of real-life applications of NFTs” or investigated how “Sport could be the next industry to be transformed by the web3” as well as “How NFTs can leverage a community”.
As you can’t speak about NFT without thinking about digital ownership risk and best practices, Elie discussed this — spot-on for logion — “Safe Digital Ownership” topic with Clément Fontaine and Matthieu Quiniou, legal experts.
Conclusion
As we wrote at the beginning of this article: it has been an intensive summer for logion, showing the traction of the project and how important logion’s capabilities are for the Polkadot ecosystem and beyond.
It’s also a proof of the great community mindset that the Polkadot ecosystem built in a very short period of time when you look at the quality of projects that are emerging and the support you get between project teams, the open source way.
For the coming months, the logion team will even go at a faster pace… to be continued!
