When would I use the HDMI ports on the RallyPlus System hubs?
Anytime you need to pass an HDMI signal from the table hub (through the cat6 cable connecting the two hubs) to the Display Hub.
For instance, one may want to locate a dedicated Teams room PC under the table. But then one would have to run two physical HDMI cables back to the display. With the Rally System, the HDMI cables can be run into the Table Hub and Out of the DIsplay hub to the display. All of the signaling would pass the front of the Table hub to the display hub through the Cat6a cable which connects the two.
Notes:
Connect the HDMI cable(s) between the Table Hub and the compute. Note that Rally can pass through two HDMI signals from the computer to drive two displays. If using just one display,
connect it to the HDMI 1 jack on the Table Hub.
REGARDING HDMI SIGNALS: Up to one 4K 60fps (YCbCr 4:2:0) on HDMI 1 or two 1080p signals (one at 1080p 60fps and one at 1080p 30fps, which is then upscaled to 60fps)
can be carried between the Table Hub and Display Hub. The HDMI signals are a straight pass-through between the hubs.
If a single display is connected and running in 4K resolution on HDMI 1 then HDMI 2 is disabled. To enable HDMI 2 for the second screen, the computer connected to HDMI 1 must be set at 1080p 60fps or lower resolution.
