To put a face to the names of our ever-expanding Logos family, we’ll be introducing a critical member of the team each week. In a span of a few months, we are proud to say that we were able to unite some of the best and brightest from Google, Blackrock, NASA JPL, Blackstone, Bridgewater Associates — and the list keeps growing.

To kick things off, we would like to introduce Carl Hua, Head of Engineering at Logos Network. Carl has a decade of software and system engineering experience at top institutions including NASA JPL, where he worked on safety critical software for autonomous flight systems. He most recently worked on the core flight software which flies the NASA Europa Clipper Mission and has led large teams in full life cycle software development. Carl received an M.S. in Systems Engineering from UCLA.

Building complex software that scales to meet real-world demands requires rigorous system engineering. At this stage, the Blockchain industry has not yet embraced such an engineering process — and it’s a critical and exciting time to bring the two together.

One thing NASA JPL does exceptionally well is employ a methodical software system engineering process to mitigate potential software risks before realizing the actual system design. We are eager to continue developing Logos Core with a similar level of rigor and methodical approach.”

Within Logos: Carl is the primary lead on core protocol development and is focused on directing the high-level architecture of the Logos core software system, overseeing the software engineering effort on a daily basis, and helping shape the consumer-facing applications, such as mobile wallet and desktop apps.
