He formerly was head of Mid-Horizon Research in model-based fixed income strategies at BlackRock and an investment professional at hedge funds Ellington Management Group and AQR.

David received a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University under a committee that included John Campbell, Lauren Cohen, and Jeremy Stein, and a B.S./M.S. in Mathematics from Yale University. David was selected for the 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30 list and is passionate about and actively involved in AI and blockchain research.

“Permissionless distributed ledger technology represents an unprecedented union of the fields I am most interested in: computer science, economics, and finance. While distributed algorithms and consensus lay at the heart of crypto, game theory and mechanism design are equally important components of a secure and sustainable network. To gain traction in the real world, this technology has to make the leap from theoretical to practical, and I hope to provide strategic insights into the financial landscape and contributions to the network design that help Logos execute on its vision.”

Within Logos: David is the Lead Strategic Advisor overseeing Logos’ cryptoeconomic system. His areas of focus include the election process, user incentive structures, and game theoretic security. He also advises on strategic matters, including capital markets, the financial system, and go-to-market.
