Maison Louis de Grenelle has existed since 1859. I’m Françoise Flao, I have been managing the business since 1983. I took over the family business. I launched the Louis de Grenelle brand in the 1990s.

Saumur Brut and Crémant de Loire wines

We are specialised in Saumur Brut and Crémant de Loire wines. These are Traditional Method sparkling wines. We make all of our sparkling wines in our underground cellars. We have approximately two kilometres of galleries right beneath the town.

We welcome 20 000 visitors a year. The really enjoy seeing people working in the galleries because this is not just a showcase; it’s a real place of work.

Sales and export

We want to make wines that reflect our image that is to say, ones of a very high quality.

We also welcome those wishing to buy wines as we have a small shop, which is very popular. We also host ceremonies for societies, and for our foreign clients who really like the venue. We listen very closely to our customers, with our cellar master Guillaume Poitevin.

He works with 23 local winegrowers and is really focused on ensuring quality and on providing an extremely tailored service to both our winegrower friends and our clients.

We adapt our products to our importers’ needs.

When one of them wants a 100% Chardonnay wine, we adapt. We blend wines our clients. We want to make wines that reflect our image that is to say, ones of a very high quality.
