Even silence is a sound.

I think,

rings clinging on coffee cups is my favorite sound.

If I could write a small symphony on these small things

It would be all essence and fever dreams

of how being,

in itself

is so musical and strange.

Maybe I’ll ask you what song this is

when we both know it’s The Supremes

just so that we focus a little harder

on the lyrics for one moment. And maybe

even hear a record scratch

although this is a digital retelling.
