Announcing — Lonely Capital
We got into this industry because we believe in the promise of blockchain technology — an open financial system that enables permissionless innovation, empowering individuals, innovators, and creators — to fundamentally change lives, including our own.
This shared vision is what made Web3 possible. It’s the glue that held together a community of strangers on the internet when they started this crazy experiment. It kept them going through long winters when nobody took them seriously. We are inspired by their long and solitary journey.
We like to remind ourselves that our belief in this story is, at the end of the day, just that: a belief. And our strong conviction doesn’t make the work any less difficult. Turning the crypto dream into successful Web3 businesses will be hard, full of uncertainty, and more often than not, extremely lonely.
That is why at Lonely Capital we like to be upfront about our experiences with entrepreneurship. Our successes (and failures) are valuable to someone else. We’re looking for teams with ambition, who aren’t afraid to stumble and fall, then get back up and build something better. We value transparency and cooperation, brainstorming and tackling problems together.
At the stage we invest, most often the product hasn’t been built yet, and we are proud to have built relationships with founders based on trust and support.
Our portfolio includes ambitious projects we think are foundational for Web3, including: Algomint, DeFi infrastructure for a robust, finance-oriented blockchain; Numbers Protocol, a decentralized photo network for creating community, value and trust in digital media; Interlock, a decentralized security suite that rewards its community while protecting it; Wayru, an ISP with distributed ownership bringing connectivity to underserved communities; OPGames, the platform game developers need to build the next wave of disruptive, community-owned games on web and mobile; and Neftify, a platform that facilitates revenue share between blockchain game players and lenders.
We are also fortunate enough to work with global partners who share our passion and our loneliness, such as Snackclub, Antalpha Ventures, the Silver Fox Foundation, YGG SEA, and many more.
