Chadwick Boseman is one of the most iconic actors in history to ever perform on the big screen. His most iconic breakout movie was Black Panther. He was beloved by the entire MCU and very influential. In many ways, Black Panther helped normalize African heritage and style in popular culture by truly celebrating it. He also starred in iconic films such as 42 (Jackie Robinson), Avengers Endgame, and Draft Day.

Chadwick’s Early Years

Chadwick Aaron Boseman was born in 1976 in Anderson, South Carolina. His mother was a nurse, and his father worked at a textile factory. Boseman participated in martial arts and initially wanted to be an architect growing up. He graduated from T.L. Hanna High School in 1995, where he played on the basketball team. By his junior year, he wrote his first play, Crossroads. He was recruited to play college basketball, but his heart was in the arts.

After high school, he went on to attend Howard University in Washington D.C. and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts and Directing.
