Elon Musk is a next-level thinker who is changing the world. Musk began inventing Tesla vehicles in 2004 and introduced its first electric car, the Roadster, in 2006. He launched SpaceX in 2002 and launched its first rocket, Falcon 1, in 2006. Musk has taken ownership of Twitter with a “desire to see the company have fewer limits on content that can be posted.” He is also an early investor in PayPal.
Elon’s Early Years
Elon Reeve Musk was born in 1971 in Pretoria, South Africa. He attended the University of Pretoria before moving to Canada at age 17. He transferred to Queen’s University in Ontario for two years. Then, he transferred to the University of Pennsylvania, where he achieved a bachelor’s degree in economics and physics.
In 1995, he moved to California to attend Harvard, but. Dropped out and founded the web software company Zip2. Next, Musk founded the online bank X.com which merged with Confinity in 2000 to form PayPal. eBay ended up buying PayPal for $1.5 billion in 2002.
Musk keeps the ball rolling. In 2002, he founded SpaceX, an aerospace manufacturer and space transport services company.
