Tom Brady is one of the most victorious NFL quarterbacks ever to play the game. He leads the record books with 7 Super Bowl wins. The thing that stands out the most is being selected 199th overall by the Patriots in the 6th round of the 2000 NFL draft (which is very low, and he was basically an afterthought). He led the Patriots to six Super Bowls between 2002–2019 and won one with the Buccaneers as recently as 2021. Brady is in his 22nd season in the league at 45 years old.

Tom's Early Years

Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. was born in 1977 in San Mateo, California. He regularly attended San Francisco 49ers games and even called quarterback Joe Montana his idol. He was raised as a Catholic and came of Irish descent. As a kid, he attended quarterback camps held by quarterback Tony Graziani.

Brady began his football career as the backup JV quarterback at Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, where he graduated in 1995. The quarterback in his junior year got injured and held the position until graduation. Brady was a 4-star football recruit and a solid left-handed catcher in high school that drew football and football interest.
