Spending the Day at a Local Orphanage š ā Donations, Play Time, Meals, and Tears
There are countless children and families around the world who need so much. Here in Thailand, there are numerous organizations doing wonderful work to care for others and enrich their lives, and we were able to participate in something special.
We organized a day to lend a hand at a local orphanage: Baan Fuengfah. The reason we chose the place is because we wanted to do the most for the kids who need it most.
The children at this orphanage are all affected with various types of autism, most of them also have physical disabilities, and they are unable to care for themselves. Some of these poor kids are even bedridden. 379 children, many of them abandoned by families due to financial issues ā likely requiring care for their entire lives. These little humans need an extra super huge amount of affectionā¦

We checked to see what kinds of donations they needed. Most urgent were huge amounts of supplement milk powder for malnourishment, lots of toothpaste, and bibs.
So we brought them exactly that plus more!
The caterer we hired provided a tasty noodle soup with fish meatballs ā and ice cream for dessert. They enjoyed the meal quite a bit. And I hope I donāt have to explain the amount of excitement there was over the ice creamā¦ I mean, come onā¦

We all played and sang, the kids were giving us hugs, tugging at our arms, sitting in our laps, climbing over usā¦ It was so sweet and a ton of fun for everyone!
They might have been able to verbally communicate with us very much, but you could clearly see in their faces and their actions how much affection they really needed.
Before leaving to head back to the office, we were met with a barrage of hugs and high fives. It was so cute, and very sad at the same time. Itās one thing for them to just get donationsā¦ but quite another to be able to get the love and attention they crave.
This was such an amazing experience for us ā we will surely do it again š
