The three of us — Andrey Sushko, Aria Tedjarati, and Kai Marshland — first met at Stanford University through the Stanford Student Space Initiative. As part of the same high-altitude ballooning team that started GSBC, we designed a world-record setting high-altitude balloon platform. The process taught us the ins and outs of designing avionics, mechanics, and software: combined, we have over 40 high-altitude balloon launches under our belt.

In the course of launching so many payloads to near space, we found ourselves doing the same tasks over and over. As we leave Stanford, we want to give back to the HAB community, and Loonar Technologies is the perfect way to do that. Our vision is to build a high-altitude balloon platform that works out of the box, but is also customizable enough to support any experiment you may want to launch.
