Definition of Value Added Reseller: A VAR, or value-added reseller is a company that takes existing products, adds value through planning and implementation and resells it to end-users. Other names for VAR’s also include: full systems integrator, reseller, and turn-key solutions provider.

An example of when a company can utilize a VAR would be: An insurance company is transitioning into a new office space and needs to:

  • Set up Internet
  • Buy 10 new Cisco phones for employees
  • Update data center
  • Install circuits and cabling
  • Install a security device

The above check list can be overwhelming for the IT Director who will be expected to handle all the moving parts. From buying and configuring the equipment to setting it up and securing it, there are a lot of considerations when trying to roll out a move like this. Not to mention the continued maintenance and support! This is where Metric Loop shines. We will walk through the vision you have, work directly with vendors on your behalf, set up an implementation plan and then bring our team of engineers to execute!

After the project is complete, we will continue to manage and assist you with any future plans or questions. Having a trusted VAR is like having an on-call IT team. Our entire team focuses on providing unparalleled customer service and support and wants to relieve our customers of ever having a technology headache!
