Loophead Club: NFT Token-Gated Access on Loopring
NFT token-gated communities, providing unique utility and access, represent one of the many innovative applications that NFTs open up to the world as an underlying technology. We are happy today to introduce more utility for our official Loophead NFT collection on L2 by using this mechanism — giving Loophead holders special access to the Loopring foundation as well as first looks and testing of upcoming product + feature releases.
Introducing the Official Loophead Club
Come join the cool kids club on Loopring.
To kick things off, token-gating (on-chain proving of ownership) will be done through our Collab Land bot on Discord, which has been integrated with Loopring L2 to verify NFT ownership.
Once verified, this will open up a special private group to you on Discord.
In the future, we will open this up to more social medial platforms (example: Twitter/X) once we have more token-gating integrated to verify ownership in these other places.
Within these Loophead Club groups, the Loopring team will be sharing some behind-the-scenes looks into new features and products that the Loopring Foundation is developing, as well as collecting feedback from this group as a focus group. Loophead members will also get the chance to test out alpha/beta versions of new products and provide feedback before they are released to the general public.
On top of the special access, the new official Loophead Club will be a fun, social place to hang out and chat with like-minded people. In the future, these clubs could be your access to special token-gated events, both in virtual reality and the real-world.
The Loopring team will prioritize these groups as much as possible to bring as much value to the chats as possible, but also to collect valuable feedback to potentially help shape the direction of future development by the Loopring Foundation.
Exclusive Red Packets for Loopheads
One new feature that is now in testing is our new Exclusive (targeted) Red Packets, which we believe can change the game for creators and project owners with new airdrop capabilities.
Red Packets can now be privately targeted at predetermined user groups (example: LRC holder or Loophead owners), and sent out without the creator or project owner having to bear the cost of the distribution.
Imagine being able to send out potentially unlimited amounts of a new token or a reward NFT to targeted user groups for near-zero cost — this is now possible on Loopring.
Loophead Club members will be the first to test out this new, upcoming feature — so get into Discord, join the club and stay tuned!
The Future of Loopheads + NFT Utility
This is one step in the direction of bringing even more utility to NFT ownership but we believe the future is much larger.
One day NFT ownership could be at the core of almost everything, in the meta verses (virtual reality) and also the meat spaces (physical reality).
Loopheads, the official Loopring collection, will be the foundation and our testing grounds for all future innovations coming to the NFT space.
