How were you inspired to begin your channel? Where did you start?
I started my youtube channel because I had a hard time finding women and girls who looked like me that helped me learn how to apply makeup for my face shape, eye shape and even skin tone shades. I want to be the Influencer that those girls who are like me find and actually apply the same tips and tricks other influencers use, but tailored to us. I had a blog first and shared makeup products I was loving and decided to put myself out there to create content that was useful for not only women/girls who look like me to use, but others too!

What inspires you and keeps you moving forward? Why are you passionate about it?
I was born a creator! Coming from a family with many talents, I was always the creative type. I love making content that is 100% authentic and made by me for everyone and anyone to see. My drive stems from my daughter. I want her to see her mom striving from the best and never settling for anything less.
What’s your favorite aspect of the beauty & cosmetics industry?
Growing up, makeup wasn’t as daring as it is today. I love that beauty and makeup are always evolving and becoming something every individual Female or Male can use to express themselves. I love change and beauty/fashion are continuously changing everyday!
What makes your brand unique from other beauty channels?
I am a very straight forward person and I promote/encourage the Alpha Female. Growing up it was always a bad thing to be a dominating woman who has her own business, makes her own money and is strong from the inside out. My brand shares how being an Alpha Female isn’t bad because you can have it all with a lot of hard work, faith and determination. It isn’t impossible and I’m here to show you that.
How do you organize/plan out your content?
I try to plan it out as best as I can by using planners, calendar and my iPhone but I don’t restrict it. If I plan to create a smokey eye look on one day and have a creative idea or flow of a fashion look book, I’ll do the look book. As much as I try to stick to a schedule, I’m not creative all the time on a schedule. I prefer quality, fresh and new ideas over a trending look sometimes. If that takes an extra day, I’ll do that because my audience appreciates it and I could never live with myself.

What is your goal for your channel? Dreams?
The only goal I have Is to only grow when it is meant to be. Sure, it’s nice to look at a growing subscriber base and gain popularity on social media however, If my audience doesn’t connect with me, what’s the point? My goal is to inspire, encourage and dominate my channel by making quality content always.
Who are your typical followers? How would you describe them?
My typical followers are Alpha Babes. They are strong and powerful women who demand only the best and they expect that of themselves and of me. They are supportive, kind and go-getters. Those are my followers.
Do you have any tips for others trying to break into the beauty industry?
Need give up. It has taken me 3 years to get to where I am today. I have faith in myself and know that I am meant to be successful on my terms. Stay engaged with your community and always choose quality over quantity.
What are your favorite beauty products or your go-to skincare regimen?
I have too many! My ultimate favorite makeup product would be the City Color Cosmetics Highlighters because I love to #Glowfromspace and my all time favorite skin care product would be my Clarisonic. I don’t know how I lived without that device for so long! Its worth the investment!
What products are you currently using on a daily basis?
Clarisonic, ItCosmetics SuperHero Mascara and Nyx Cosmetics Butter Glosses in Madeline and Praline.
What’s your personal style?
I’ve been told it’s Sexy yet classy with a hint of Edge. I’ll go with that!

How does your personal style influence your branding?
To my surprise, people LOVE my style. I had no idea until I started making lookbooks on my youtube channel and realized they truly enjoyed it! Growing up in a family who couldn’t afford new clothes, I had to learn to re-create looks using the same pieces. I still have clothes from years ago that look brand new because I treasured them and I feel like my brand is my style. When you see it, you know it’s me. Always evolving and always finding ways to be better the next time!
What’s your favorite brand and why?
These are such hard questions! I have so many but for sometime, City Color Cosmetics has been my all time favorite. I haven’t tried a product I haven’t liked yet and that’s crazy because I’m ALWAYS trying new products and a lot of the times, I don’t like it at first.
But City Color Cosmetics has been my #1 for almost 4 years now.
What are your go-to outfit combinations?
I’m really loving figure hugging midi dresses however, when going out but on a daily, I’m usually in sweat pants, workout tank and sneakers.
