Featuring: Tiffany Crawford aka “LaceNLeopard”

California girl Tiffany Crawford started as a photography blogger, in 2012, to showcase her portfolio and the work of some of her favorite photographers. However, the blog quickly changed focus after receiving several inquiries on the photo shoots she styled and her own personal wardrobe. Hence, Lace N Leopard was born! Named after her favorite fabric and print, this blog chronicles Tiffany’s daily style, life and ventures as a curvy California girl.
She continues to encourage and inspire others through her body positive and confidence movements #SameFitDoneThick and #ServingChocolate — — and with one outfit at a time. In addition to her blog, Tiffany is CEO of non-profit organization, Set Free w/Divine Intervention, and has also been featured on: Good Day New York, Essence.com, Lucky.com, Examiner.com, Fashion Bomb Daily, Bustle.com, Ashley Stewart and Plus Model Magazine.

How were you inspired to begin your channel? Where did you start?

I started as a photography blogger to showcase my portfolio and the work of some of my favorite photographers. However, the blog quickly changed focus after receiving several inquiries on the photo shoots that I styled and my own personal wardrobe. Hence, Lace N Leopard was born!

What inspires you and keeps you moving forward? Why are you passionate about it?

Over the years, I have encountered so many women that simply hate themselves because of their size. Or they believe life will get better once they lose weight. They will find the perfect man, wear the clothes they want, etc. I want to show that you can LIVE YOUR LIFE now, be happy, stylish and beautiful all while in the process of reaching your ultimate goals. That is why I am passionate.

What’s your favorite aspect of the fashion industry?

The fashion industry has allowed me to reach more people in a positive way, through my love of style, than I ever would on my own.
What makes your brand unique from other fashion channels?
What makes me unique is that I embrace my inner sexy. I wear a lot of plus size no-no’s from form fitting dresses to short shorts and crop tops. I post half naked women on my feed — all while promoting body love. I’m all about body positivity and style.

How do you organize/plan out your content?

If I am organized that week lol, I try to post two outfit looks per week and something uplifting. It’s important to me to stay consistent on my Instagram @lacenleopard (my most followed account). I try not to go more than 2–3 days without posting. I also try my best to post high quality content.

What is your goal for your channel? Dreams?

My goal for my Youtube channel is to post more consistently and for my following to get to know me on a more personal level. I love to connect with people. Overall, I want to offer fashionable clothing for everyone. Maybe even design on my own line of clothing. I just started an online shop, www.shoplacenleopard.com @shop_lacenleopard, currently offers statement graphic tees and trendy accessories. In the future, I want to expand and design my own pieces.

Do you have any tips for others trying to break into the fashion industry?

My number one tip, to future bloggers and youtubers, is consistency. No one wants to follow someone who posts every once in a while. My next tip is try to post high quality images and videos. This is something I recently learned over the past year. My response and engagement increased dramatically when the quality of my content did.

What’s your favorite type of fashion?

They type that makes me feel good in it ;)

What are your go-to styles at the moment? Or what’s currently active in your closet?

What’s not?! But my current go-to styles are a great pair of skinny jeans, sheer colorful tops, form fitting dresses and bright colored heels.

What’s your personal style?

I would describe my style as classy, confident and curvy. I like to explore so many different styles an get inspiration all over. I will check out fashion in 90’s to what JLO just wore, create something and just try it out!

How does your personal style influence your branding?

Well for me, my personal style is my brand. There is no brand without it.

What’s your favorite YouTube channel and why?

I would say Youtuber Shameless Maya is my favorite. She has an amazing spirit, great quality and useful content. Her brand is one of my favorites because her content is personal, unapologetic and fun to watch!
