Primers are a must before applying makeup because they make your skin appear smooth and also make your makeup last longer. And there is a reason why, Napoleon Perdis, celebrity makeup artist says “not to prime is a crime.” Great primers can be expensive but primers can easily be made at home using natural ingredients. With this simple natural makeup primer recipe, you can make a perfect base to your makeup using minimal ingredients

Thing you need:

3 tablespoons of aloe vera (because it consists of mostly water and is rich in Vitamin E)

3 tablespoons of moisturizer

1 and a half tablespoons of foundation

A container to store the orimer

Sunscreen (optional)

Steps to follow:

Take a bowl to mix these ingredients. Peel the aloe vera leaves carefully, blend it in a blender and add all of the ingredients in the bowl. You can add a few drops of sunscreen for optimal sun protection, if you want. Make sure you mix the ingredients well until you create a paste like consistency. When the mixture is ready, you can apply it using either a sponge, brush or by with your fingers. Mixing well is important as it will allow you to apply the consistency across your face.

When using:

Apply moisturizer across your face before you apply the primer for optimal results. Let the primer dry before you apply makeup.

How to store:

Refrigerate the primer to extend its shelf life. But, you have to use it within 1–2 weeks because this is a natural recipe without any added preservatives.
