It’s a new day
The sun has yet to shine
But I feel its warmth already
From within
It’s a new day
The slate is clean and ready
For splatter or polish
Whatever I choose

I keep my chest open
Gently straightening my spine
As it tries to bend and hide
It’s a new day
When I look in the mirror, I choose
To see a smile and glow
No wrinkles, no worry
It’s a new day
I put aside my planner and
Chattering brain
And let the universe surprise me
