Alchemy
The virtue of you always cancels out the vice in me

I bring you the reek
of damp spirits and heart sores,
You whisk in your warm earthiness
and churn it into petrichor.
I propel rings of icy laughter
to your jests puerile,
You melt them into mirth
with your sunny smile.
I siphon off from the air
blue hues flaming like a match to my out-breaths,
You quiet my smoldering skin in minty explosions
my knees quivering resistless.
I simmer in clangs of silence
veiling a tragedy untold,
You steal away into the dark corridors of my heart,
turning my grief into gold.
