An Eclipse of Melancholy

It’s one of those days when
Melancholy came on a visit
and cast her shadow;
an eclipse,
of a pensive mood
with scattered rays of brood,
in Twilight’s skies of solitude;
and a rendezvous with nostalgia
even though infinitesimal;
leaving behind
a pang of loneliness,
grayish clouds of mixed emotions
and a glint of a penumbra,
of somber musings,
and pondering;
a reflection of
a melancholic mind,
now in words.
