Cycles
A Poem
Life is full of cycles
and the second
you think it’s not,
a new one comes
and wraps you in
its cylindrical core
and spins you silly
until you realize
that this is normal
Even though you
feel dizzy and off-kilter,
it’s strangely satisfying
to know that the bad
won’t remain bad
and the good can
get more interesting
because of these
reliable cycles
I’ve recently found
myself in a cycle,
and it wasn’t of
my own doing,
but of outside forces
that I can’t control,
and it left me
feeling unstable
But this is the cycle
that ebbs and flows
in a regular life
on the spinning orb
It’s a universal truth
that your life is
full of cycles
but always remember
that you are the core
