Time Heals All

I drop my shoulders down
And straighten my back as I
Walk down the grocery aisle
Practicing confidence in a
Safe space
I let my voice fill my chest until
It cascades out my mouth
Vibrating off the walls
Forcing people to
Pay attention
I pour resentments onto pages
Instead of the backs of others
And find peace on my own
Without dispensing venom
Or drawing blood
The healing process is slow but
I see the pieces of the puzzle
Coming together like magnets
And deep down I know
I’ll be okay
