“For archaic man, reality is a function of the imitation of a celestial archetype.” — Mircea Eliade

in eternity …

all time is mythic time
all space is mythic space
all is perfection
all is perfect action

in joy and in sorrow
in peace and in war
in life and in death

… and then, The Fall.

All our existence now
has meaning only
as an imitation of the sacred

Myth is the memory of the sacred
Rituals are the actions of imitation

“Sacred is action that is ritual
Sacred the place sacralized by ritual
Sacred is time remembered from myth”

Congealing in space and time
Into a sacred knot— a rupture
Through the fabric of reality
A portal beyond the event horizon
Into the Infinite

And we remember

That history has no meaning
Only mythic time is real, and its imitation
In the here and now
Unfolds reality …
