Ragged Teeth

Photo by Erda Estremera on Unsplash

The coarse wind doesn’t care about you,
sandblasts your shins, a grinder of teeth,

it removes crevasses, genuflects
the grass, perpetuates a sand flea

scatter with each wet and silty foot.
The tracks that are here will soon be gone
