THE PUPPET SERIES
The Puppet - 5
“Someday, I’ll find my voice. Until then the show continues…”
Strings unattached,
I yearn for a free fall,
freeing my puppeteer
from forgetting to
hold me high...
In any case,
the threads are fraying
and it's just a matter
of time that waits not —
the free fall should come
before the process gets
as tiresome as fraying.
Scissors I look for,
but the pair I find
are rusting in your hands,
as you watch me squirm
and choke as I hang
from the loose ends...
Time wears away
but the strings stay,
only the hearts fray.
Yes, wood can die
that way, too...
Nude expressions
adorn the non-existent
to tell their stories —
the existent don't bother
to have any...
