ushering through the darkness,
steering on your own,
with the destination so vivid,
journeys are unknown;

packed all the needs, walking
miles away from home,
you are a grown man,
climbing mountains, turning stones;

the burdens of the future,
carrying scars from the past;
you swam across the ocean,
boy, just a few strokes apart;

the city lights, the shooting stars,
over the crest, diving deep in you,
encroaching towards me, to ask,
over again,
what will I ever do?

in the echoes of your gut,
you shall hear my clamour,
if I ever had to run again,
I shall race for the same;
