Untold
A Poem
All of the stories
that remain untold
are not hidden,
they are yet to unfold
It’s as if I am
unspooling a thread
and allowing it
to go anywhere
because sometimes
the things we think
we haven’t spoken
have not even
happened yet
Memory as plasma
life as a compass
heart as a guide
openness as the way
Maybe all of our
tales are untold
and in a state of
constant evolution
because if we are
still here, breathing,
we are narrating
a new story
It’s also acceptable
to not spill all the tea
because sometimes
the drops you keep
all for yourself
are the most nourishing
