I saw a vision
Of a man, a father paralyzed
By terror, pinned behind
A craggy rock, quavering
Wildly, palpitating
Sweat trickling
Down
Then, propelled by
An impulse that screamed,
“Lead!”, bursts out suddenly
Confronts his terror, madly
Rushing and screaming
Blindly, his heart
Pounding
Towards a terrifying
And dreadful face, grey
Like death, enraged
Rushing madly towards him
Both screaming, blood
Just moments away …
… from waking
