When is a house not a house

When it is a culmination, a fateful becoming
In every blessed brick of its homely gathering
Memories of each moment, and of each action
Every thought and every emotion etched deeply
Hurtling hungrily toward the inevitability
Of a here and now, that shimmered like a dream
And now wearily won, a place to rest our souls
Where every living breath on this sacred ground
Forever, has you in it.
